NX Kit: Regular or direct port.

Which kit do you think i should go with. They have the single nozzle kit, the gemini kit with the 2 nozzles and maf, and pretty soon the direct port kit. This guy my friend knows is a NX dealer. He said he could get me the direct port kit for around $750. I'm not sure how much it is gonna be but it seems like a good price. I'm only gonna be running a 100 shot at first. But i may move up to a 150 shot later on. Which kit would be best for this. I heard the direct port kit is for big shots. But wouldn't it work for smaller shots? If so wouldn't it be better to get that kit?

Its not out yet but it should be very soon. You can see a picture of it on tbyrnemotorsports.com. It looks like a real nice kit. I know i only need the single nozzle for what i'm gonna be shooting. But if i can get this kit for almost the same price wouldn't it be better? Plus with this i can always move up later on.

if he is giving you the NXL (their new direct port that is not out) for that price... BUY IT.

That is below cost for the LS1 NXL kit.

Take it for what it's worth... I was looking into the NX Rail Direct Port System too

From what I gather, it takes time to fill the rail with fuel.. which means that as the fuel enters one side of your rail, it takes a split while to go to the other side causing a lean condition... even fuel distribution is correct but after the rail has been pressurized. That is why the metal direct port system with a centralized distribution block seems to be more precise.

Also, the jets are very small on anything less than 150 HP which is prone to clogging. It is not recommended to go below that or you will have a serious issue.

Not too many guys seem to be impressed with the high-pressure flex lines too, not sure why... they could be just old school.

The jets are not that prone to clogging. Just ask anyone that runs a N20 systen on street bikes. The run only 50 to 100 hp shots. Divide that buy four and look at how small the jets are. Its all just hype. Run a fuel filter and never worry about it.

True regarding the filter, and add the N2O filter as well. On earlier threads, some were concerned about a direct port on 100 - 150 HP and dividing the jet size by 8. It is very small. But, it hasnt' been done successfully yet so I wouldn't call it hype. I have not talked to anyone with a 100-150 Direct Port system, most are running 250 HP plus on Direct Port applications.
