Not spraying thru the shiftes and ET?
Not spraying thru the shiftes and ET?
So if I am running 12 flat or there about, and add a 100 shot without spraying through the shifts, how much would this hurt my times? Would spraying this amount be good for at least a 0.8 reduction in ET? Thanks
there is absolutely no way you will pick up .8 by spraying through the shifts
now you might pick up .08
the amount you improve will be determined by how much more rpm you are spraying....but I would say a .1 improvement at best

I don't understand this either. Is it really that much better for the tranny to cut the spray during the shifts? It doesn't seem like it would because the next gear isn't fully engaged by the time the spray comes back on.
Aside from that, I go racing to go as fast as I can, if part of the drivetrain can't handle that it needs to be upgraded.
I spray from launch to finish and can't commet on how much faster my car runs by spraying through the shifts because I've never ran it any other way.

Well I can see tryng to make the stocker last. My point was, does it really make the tranny last any longer by not spraying through the shifts?
Don't know, but that's what I'll try. If it helps even a little, it's worth it to me. After I get a trans from Frank, then all bets are off.
