Question Not shifting on the spray?

My car shifts fine at 6600 at wot on all motor, but when i but a 75 or 125 to it, it hits rev limiter in the 2 to 3? Anyone have any ideas on why that is? I believe I have always had problems with it shifting on the spray 2nd to 3rd..

Are you using a window switch? What's the rev limiter set at?

Only think Im using is a digital 6 plus.. Rev limiter is set around 6700-6800.. I dont think its the trans or anything.. Is there anyway to make it shift alittle sooner without going into the computer?

Mine would hit the limiter also I had to program the computer to shift earlier. Could also be a sign that the tranny is weak.

bump teh rev limiter up a hundred rpms or so and try it again, if that dont work your gonna have to move the shift points down alittle, trans is tryin to shift but cant do it fast enough wit the extra power, prob a sign of the bands slipping a little

You guys can chase this problem further if you want, but IT IS the transmission! Even though it was recently rebuilt, doesn't mean it was rebuilt right. I can guarantee you that you wouldn't have this issue if we built it

Mine has a 100,000 miles on it. It's weak doesn't even scratch 2nd anymore. You may be getting a call when it quits or if I get some cash saved up. I been checking out your sight.

Well I dont have the funds to have you do it, so I'll just lower the shift points and see if it helps..

I agree. You start pushing more power throught a old, tired 4L60, you are going to have to prepare for a rebuild sooner or later.

which is why my transmission will be on it's way in a couple weeks.

i was having the same problem on the 150 shot, and now it's surfaced on the 120 shot too....so this tranny's gotta go. a slipping 2-3 shift is the first sign of a worn out transmission....at least thats what i've always been told

it just seems to happen quicker on the juice
