Nos Tb.

Anybody on here running a NOS Holley TB? I have one that I'm currently modifying to get it to run right on my car, I'm also polishing it up a little.

So is anyone using one of these and spraying through it? What kit are you using? Any advantages/disadvantages on running this type of system?

Don't really know too much about N02, but I would like to learn and eventually equip my car with probably just a 100 shot now, and maybe a little larger when I build the motor.

Is the NOS TB setup just for a dry shot or can it be used with a wet shot too?

I plan on building a H/C 383 in the future, with occasional auto x, drag, and road racing, but mostly just a killer street machine.

So it's a dry shot behind the MAF? Doesnt sound too safe to me, but it does look cool.

Aren't a lot of guys running a dry shot after the MAF? Drilling into the intake elbow and mounting the nozzle there?

I dont know, I have a wet kit on my car that I still havent used yet . Search the topic....

Edit- ok i take it back, after searching i guess the dry kits use an FMU to bump fuel pressure when you're on a dry shot

After the MAF is fine, it is using a dry shot before the MAF that can cause some problems on the LT1 motors.

Is anyone running this TB, if so, any pics or info on it? It looks like it would be a really stealthy N02 setup. Would there just be 1 N02 line running into the TB or would I still have multiple lines and solenoids everywhere. It would be nice to have a hidden setup.

You would be better off to use a regular fan spray nozzle with that dry kit. The TB doesn't give the nitrous any time to difuse and could cause the first 3 cylinders to not get enough nitrous. Honestly I've never run across a lot of people that ran it due to the cost being fairly high. And as far as install goes the TB just replaces the nozzle so everything else in the kit would still be used.

Would the extra 6" really be enough to provide a significant increase in atomization. I got it used for a good deal, cheaper than I could get a regular 58mm TB for. Plus it looks good and would be a nice sleeper N02 setup if I could get it to work.

Yes 6" is enough to make a difference. Not saying the TB won't work or would definitely cause problem I just think for the price it isn't needed. If you have one give it a shot.

Yeah, I already have one. I got it for a better price than what I could of got a regular 58mm TB for so I figured why not. I'm polishing it up a bit before I reinstall it. So what kit will I need for it? The regular 5176 N02 kit will work, right?

Yeah the 5176 you just won't use the nozzle that comes with it.
