nos question
a friend of mine is planning on giving his STOCK 94 auto lt1 a 200 shot but i told him he would most likely mess something up, so he asked me what he would need to do to feed his car a 200 shot without messing anything up. Im no nos expert nor am i even using nos so i am asking you all what he needs?
o yeah and the local car clubs race (drag) every sunday knowing him he weill be 2 if he gets nos in his car, is there anything extra i should tell him for using it that often?

I would say it is very risky. On a stock engine, I would probably go to a 150 shot tops. Assuming he has good fuel supply, pulled the necessary timing, and is spraying in a good rpm range, and this is being done on a healthy motor, he might be able to pull it off.
He would have to make sure his fuel pump can keep up with the demand in which case a higher output pump might be needed such as a Walbro or Racetronix piece. Also, he would have to pull the necessary amount of timing whether it be through PCM tuning, a Mallory 685 ignition box, or an MSD setup. A window switch is a good idea as well so he only sprays in a specific rpm range, the window switch is another built in feature of the Mallory 685 box. This is still very risky on a stock motor with an unknown history and there is absolutely no guarantee that he will be able to consistently and reliably spray a 200 shot. I would still encourage him to step it down a notch. That is how alot of people do damage to their engines and nitrous gets such a bad rep, people get greedy with the jetting and keep pushing the boundaries.
Have people sprayed 200 hp shots on stock LT1's and been fine for awhile yes, did it last very many hits...doubtful. IMO start out with a 125 hp shot and step it up to 150 hp if he absolutely wants too. Going 200 hp right off the bat is suicide. Make sure the motor is strong enough to handle the 125 shot first. Also, follow what 2000gtp said and look into the mallory and what all it has to offer as you will be needing to buy all of the safety accessories that go along with nitrous.
Its hard to assume that he is running a big shot. He could have other things going on with the car such as massive weight reduction or a very well dialed in suspension/drivetrain setup.
