nitrous system on my Dakota... help/thoughts

alright, well i went through the whole deal on my T/A with nitrous and i learned a TON from many people but now im back to a new project. my 2000 Dodge Dakota has a nitrous kit that i already took off and am trying to sell but im considering putting it back on, but doing it the right way, fully setup. but i have some questions...

heres a rundown on the truck and mods....

even compression across the board, already has 2 stages colder plugs.

has a 210/220 cam, headers, full exhaust, intake, tune, etc. runs like high 13s right now i guess.

its a wet system with 125 jets, and a nozzle right in the bellows before the airhat on top of the TB.

now..... what do you guys recommend for the spraying process. my T/A was a 6 speed with a mallory 685, WOT switch, arming switch. you arm the system, go WOT and the mallory took over. it would spray within the set window and retard timing as soon as the solenoids clicked open.
onto my truck tho....
what options do i have to spray. i plan on running an arming switch and maybe a WOT switch, but what about shifting and whatnot. the trans is in good shape, but i dont wanna be spraying through shifts i dont think. what would you guys recommend doing? i know the guy i bought it from had an arming switch, then it was wired to a B&M shifter **** with the button that you would hold onto, (i think a momentary switch, ya?) and i guess you just used it like that. what do you guys think?

A single nozzle will work as long as it is 4-6 away from the TB. If you still have the stock intake manifold they have a split plenum design. Ideally you would use a dual nozzle or the NX plate for the Magnum motors.

You can still run a window switch to control the nitrous...or even the 685 on the Dakota as well.

Let me know if you have any other questions.....I had a Dakota also, they are fun little trucks.

You will want at least a wot microswitch and a window switch for safety.

it's got a high rise Mopar M1 intake, i think the nozzle is located just fine and will work well.

which would you recommend? will the MSD digital box be able to hook right up or will i need other crap like an MSD ignition box? i wanna keep this system simple but still safe.

The msd will work fine with no extra pieces needed. The M1 intake is a nice piece I was going to put one on mine but ended up needing a bigger truck. A single nozzle is fine for that intake.

good deal. shift points are set to 5800 so you think id be safe spraying a window like 3,400- 5,600 and then simply using a WOT switch and arming switch aside from the window? that should be a straight forward and simple install without too much complication.hehe

I would spray 3,000 to 5,600....master arm, WOT, Window switch will work fine.

If you have a tune in the truck you will still want to be able to pull a little timing. The Mallory 685 will work with the truck also.

ya the 685 is gone i sold it with the car, and i dont really wanna get another one. id like to keep this kit simple. i need to call the tuner and give him the PCM code because i THINK it was tuned for nitrous from the other owner but i need to find out. if not, ill just go with the 685 prolly again.
