Nitrous filter assembly
Nitrous filter assembly
I just purchased one of HSW's nitrous filter kits. I am trying to figure out a way to mount the filter while making it look pro. My bottle is mounted on the tranny tunnel and I have the rear seats permanatly deleted. I bought the filter kit with some extra Nitrous line so I could route it where ever I wanted. I am thinking about mounting it to the back seat wall with some type of brackets. I can not for the life of me find any brackets that will work for me. The filter is 1 1/2" top to bottom and I want to make sure to rubber mount it for protection.
Any idea's?
Also...Is any type of sealer supposed to be used on the threads that screw into the filter? The instructions do not specify and since I might have to replace the filter one day, I want to make sure and do it right.
Thanks ahead of time for any help.

mount as close to the noid as possible so it filters anything in the line as well, otherwise your not filtering much at all. i would put it on the fenderwell somehow or just right near the solenoid.
The main thing I am looking for here is some idea's for mounting brackets. I know about where I want to mount it, I just don't know HOW to do it. I also don't know if I should be using sealer on the threads that screw into the filter because of future filter changes. Thanks for the advice on the location though...I didn't even think about the 18 feet of line between a bottle mounted filter and the solenoid.
looks like they are NPT and not AN so i would say YES they need some teflon paste or nicely wrapped tape works well if you can wrap it cleanly and not let any debris into he filter or line, however im not sure, id call em up and ask. and why dont you just zip tie the two fitting to something after its all put together, it would prolly look pretty clean and easy to take apart(snip) if you ever needed to.
I have my NX connected directly to the bottle nut.

I am thinking about some type of fuel filter clamps, but I can't seem to get any companies to measure some for me. Does anybody have any experience with securely mounting a nitrous filter to a flat surface?
