Nitrous Control Valve?

Nitrous Control Valve?
I know this is nitrous related by maybe someone has experience with these on other applications.
Can I leave the bottle open all the time and use one of these as a shut on/off valve. Do these type of valves tend to leak more? I'm looking for a easier way to open or close without the expense of a remote opener.
Thanks

We actually have a couple of very knowledgable supporting vendors on the N2O Tech forum, who will be able to answer the question.
First question would be, is that valve rated for 1,500psi?

If you look thru mcmastercarr or a grainger catolog you can find a valve that will work. It has to handle a pressure in the 1500-2000 psi range. I know you only want about a 900-950 psi of bottle pressure but you want the valve to be rated along the same rating as the bottle and they have a 1800psi burst disk in them. I'm using a 3/8 NPT ball valve with teflon seals. You have to make sure that it is a full flow valve.
NOS actually sells a brass ball valve with a teflon liner for this purpose but it is inly a 1/4" port and if you plan on stepping up to a -6 line that valve will be the restriction in the system.
