Nitrious ?'s
TNT (Texas Nitrous Technology) is a great kit, the jets are rated at rwhp, not flywheel as are most kit. a TNT 100 shot is about the same as, say a, Nitrous Works 125.
my TNT 100 shot dropped my ET from a 13.9 to a 12.6, 1.3 off ET aint bad is it.

WHat crank rods? Stock?
What about the fuel system and ignition system?
With the forged pistons,150 would be no problem with the supporting mod's,and guys are even spraying upwards of a 300 shot.
I'd say 200-250 max to be on the safe side, but you still need to give more information.

Now, different nitrous systems make different amounts of hp with the same amount of nitrous. There are a lot of reasons for this, some of them quite subtle. I suggest you read some of what David Vizard has written about nitrous to get a feel for the factors that play into getting the most out of nitorus. He says things more completely than I can, for sure. Just one major thing to mention here: street nitrous setups are almost always choked off by the exhaust. LT1's have a problem with getting the combustion products out in the first place due to everything from head flow limitations to the exhaust system design. Adding a 100hp nitrous shot is like adding >100ci and trying to exhaust the combustion products through the same pathway. So anything you can do to improve exhaust flow will increase your gain from N2O.

was your motor built for N20?You really need to know if the rings have been filed for the right size?If they were filed to stock spec. I wouldnt go over a 200 shot(rings Xpand when they get hot)but if they are gapped a little on the big side 250-300 with some timing retard.

In your 2nd paragraph, I'd note that although combination changes can be made besides the nitrous system (drastic items being Cam timing and exhaust flow as you mentioned) these still do not effect that any given amount of nitrous will make the same power no matter the sticker on the solenoids. a 52 jet may make 100 or it may make 115hp, but no matter the company the same orifice size will be relatively the same hp, given the same engine and operating conditions.
I hope that jibberish made sense, its starting to get late LOL.
That said, I wouldn't say there is any "best" setting to run. It boils down to your goals. If you have lofty goals, then you may or may not need to re-evaluate your goal if the parts aren't up to the task. How fast do you want to go?

i understand completely what you fellas are saying about jet sizes and totally agree. I chose the TNT kit, bcuz the F1 (lower level) kit, comes with 75 - 125 jets just as do all other "lower level" kits....but my 125 jet is the same size as my friends 150 Nitrous Works jet. Therefore it seemed feasible to me that buying the F1 TNT kit was a good idea bcuz i would have that extra little edge than the next guy, but still on what is classified as a 100 shot......more or less, its just a reassurance, i guess....All I know is I am very happy with the way the kit is set up, i.e. spray bar plate, nozzles, and so forth. nice clean setup!
