the new nx maximizer

NX introduces the New Maximizer!

This State of the Art unit will feature a solenoid driver with a built in relay, window switch, TPS switch, O2 input (narrow or wideband), transbrake signal, ignition retard output, delay time, gear count, tach input, dataloging capabilities, 0-100% and 100%-0 N2O and Fuel Delivery or anywhere in between. The unit is programmed through a handheld PDA. To download the PDA Maximizer software please click here.

Note: Unfortunately we have found that counterfeit maximizers are being sold on the web; we are no longer selling the older 4 button versions. All authentic NX maximizers have an NX badge that identifies them. If you need service or warranty work on your older version please send us the unit accompanied with an invoice. If you bought a Maximizer after January 1 2003, it is a counterfeit.

This is from their website it looks pretty good. Will the gear count allow you to activate the nitrous in only second gear.

Let me update this...

I've talked to the programmers and it will permit memory of the gears based on TPS settings. In other words, if you set your N2O to activate when your TPS is at 90%, then each time you click your TPS at 90% your Maximizer will count.

You can set 0% for 1st gear, 90% for second gear, 100% for third etc... then, you can set a Reset feature... this allows say after 6 seconds the Maximizer will reset to whatever gear you want.

So, I can set it for a pause of 10 seconds then default back to 2nd gear programming. That way, when I'm running out of the canyons and grab into a nice brake/decel into 2nd, the N2O will know what gear to default to. Then I can 3/4 throttle steer out and punch the 90% TPS setting when I straighten out.

Not a bad set up. You'll need to tap into your O2 wire... I'm going to purchase an extension and solder/heat shrink into that. I really don't want to splice directly into the O2 wire.
