Yea, many people have added nitrous to a stock lt1, I did. Just make sure to run plenty of safety equpiment to save the motor if something goes wrong. Many of them are listed in a sticky post above but the rundown on what all Id recommend is: Wet Kit, fuel pressure safety switch, colder plugs, bottle heater, purge, upgraded fuel pump(just a good precaution if yours is the origial stocker). Another thing that Id recommend is a Mallory 685 ignition box. It has the capability of pulling timing for when spraying, and acts as your window switch all in one.

Well, it depends on what you are asking. Yes, an LT1 can take nitrous no problem. You can do a direct port setup, a nozzle setup, a plate setup, wet kit, dry kit, you name it, its being done. However, if you plan to do a dry setup on your LT1, the nozzle needs to be placed after the MAF sensor whereas on the LS1, it can be placed before the MAF sensor and it is safe to do so because of the faster processing speeds of the LS1 PCM.
