N2O TB Plate-type systems... interference issues?

I like the idea of spraying wet into the plenum after the throttle body. But I am concerned about what adjustments it will affect... meaning, I know I will need to re-adjust the throttle cable. What else have you experienced as a potential problem with tb plate-type systems.

You're also likely to have to do some pretty serious grinding on the water pump cover and idle air control casing. Kind of a pain to get it to fit in there...

I figured there must be some issues or they wouldn't be trying to locate kits in the MAF and TB itself... if the TB Plate which has been around was successful, then they wouldn't be making other options. Right?

Thanks for the input.

I had to grind the bottom of the IAC housing a bit, and the thermostat housing. Then it went on ok. For the cables, those are EASY to adjust...takes minutes at most.

One thing though, I have a trick flow aluminum elbow, and since it doesn't flex it makes the MAF sit REAL tight to the radiator cover. The CAI plastic retainer plug htin is out of alignment now. I could cut the elbow down, but I'm not that worried about it.

I just noticed that there are two types of TB Plate-type systems! Nitrous Works has a spray bar with side-mounted solenoid inputs. TNT has two nozzles on the bottom (too bad they can't be inverted).

Which system do you have that requires grinding?

I can see where the TNT sys may require clearancing but the Nitrous Works seems to be on the side out of the way...

last time I saw one, the TNT plate kit had the nozzles go in from the top. I REALLY cant see two full size nitrous nozzles going in from the bottom like that.

I looked at that system closely... Ok, if they are from the top, then why grind the thermostat housing... does it extend the TB into it?

Yup, you got it now. The IAC and stuff underneath would come in contact with the thermo housing.

just drill some holes in your elbow and screw your nozzles in there ar close to the TB as possible! those plates arent worth the price they charge nor are they worth the hassle!

I can see your point... TB Plates are about $550 - $650... about the same as a nozzle.
