Question n2o questions for a beginner

Hey, I have an 94 z28. It has 140k miles on it (I know, but it was really cheap) but it's in very good condition, for 140K miles. Oh yeah, it's an a4 if that helps any. Anyway, I have some question that I would greatly appreciate an answer. I plan on getting LT headers, CAI, BM shift plus, exhaust, gears, and hotcam

*What size shot is recommended for street/strip use? (I don't want over 100 unless it won't hurt)
*Would it damage my LT1 any?
*What all (besides what comes with the kit) would need to be upgraded?
*What is the best kit for street/strip use?

Thats pretty much all I can think of now. Anyway, thanks for the help and God Bless

i have 124K miles on mine, and spraying 75-100 wet shot.

* 75 - 100 is good enough, and LT1 with high miles can handle it.
* as long as you dont spray 10 bottles a day, you should be fine.
* get a fuel pressure safety switch, window switch, in line fuel pump, a good ignition (msd 6al), get rid of your platinum spark plugs.
*get NX kit stage one (50 - 150 wet shot) should be more than enough.

Spoken like a true pro

Tuning the mix is critical.... it is fairly easy if you have some way to read your O2s. If you go DRY, your existing fuel system will add the fuel (advice is to upgrade the injectors... $300 - $400). If you go WET, it is relatively easy to tune if you have some way to make sure to read the O2s or get a 4-5 gas analyzer.

You'll need a fuel pump with any boost application. N2O can be considered as "chemical boost"... but that is another debate...

The BLMs will change depending on your intake and exhaust. The only real worry is if they split... meaning if there is a large variance (10 pts or more). If the are both somewhat even, BLMs really don't matter.

Your O2 under N2O will depend on your length of header. Typically, you'd like to see 9.20+. With mid length headers around 9.10+. Long tubes around 8.95+. Again, that will depend on your mods.. but it should be high and stable.

Sure TMD, I can do that next time we meet. I'll read your BLMs also and fill you in on the details. BLM stands for Block Lean Multipliers... they measure the long term fuel trim for bank1 and bank2.

I agree with everything except the part about the in line pump. I would (and did ) go with a Walbro in tank pump.
