n2o questions on LT1
i have a 95 camaro LT1. stock inturnals, i want to give it a little more go. i dont want to blow it up either.
i am looking at a couple different NOS kits (dry) made for the LT1 spcificaly. i only want a 50-75 shot. i dont want to do any tuning.
so is it possible for a stock 102k LT1???
also what parts (numbers too) do i need to make it as safe as possible?
i want to get the A-piller gauges of fuel pressure and A/F ratio too.
what is all involved in hooking up this type of kit? please only people that have hooked up a LT1. i heard they are alot different then the LS1. something about spraying into the MAF???
I WANT A DRY KIT please so dont offer a wet.

The LS1s are able to get away with having nitrous sprayed before the MAF supposedly due to their faster PCM processing speeds. With the LT1, that is not the case and is advised against. The NOS kit basically introduces nitrous into the elbow and then provides a vacuum signal that jacks up the fuel pressure. If you are worried about the mileage and nitrous, you could have a cylinder leakdown test and compression test performed to ensure the motor is in good health. Also, with that small of a shot, you should be in the "safe zone" and tuning shouldn't be required.
The NOS kit or any kit for that matter will provide the barebone system. You should also consider the extra accessories as outlined in this sticky: https://www.camaroz28.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=496116
The install instructions for the NOS 5176 LT1 dry kit are available online.... take a look at them and see if you can handle it.

An A/F ratio gauge is virtually useless unless you get a wide-band setup. Look at the Innovate LC-1 with the gauge option.

The NOS dry kit for LT1's is set at 150 only and is not adjustable. Others may offer adjustable dry kits but the NOS for sure is not. It is set to spike the FP enough that 150HP worth of N2O is added.
If your car is completely stock then a 50 shot may not require timing adjustments, however even a 50 shot most nitrous manufactures recommend retarding timing 1-1.5 degrees per 50HP shot.
I went with the LT1 dry kit, but upgraded it to the wet kit using kit 0031NOS (dry to wet conversion). That way I got the auxilirary fuel pump for added protection.
