N2O exam questions???
N2O exam questions???
I am doing a N2O type project for my college class and I need some exam questions. Anyone got some burning good ones that I would be able to use? Thanks for any help, just thought I would check and see what you all can come up with. Thanks.

Boy, college aint what it used to be
Sounds like fun, here's my questions:
1. What's the difference between a dry and a wet nitrous system?
2. Why does nitrous oxide injected into the car make it faster?
3. If an 8 cylinder 4-stroke engine is running at 6000rpm, how many spark plug ignitions are there in one minute?
4. Draw a graph of the torque curve of a nitrous injected engine, and explain why it looks the way you drew it
5. List the potential things that can go wrong when using nitrous oxide on an engine
6. Explain how jet sizes relate to horsepower
7. When one refers to a "10 lb nitrous bottle", what does the "10-lb" mean?
8. What is the function of a solenoid in a nitrous system?
9. What is the financial break-even point of running nitrous versus a supercharger? Assume $1K for nitrous system, $6K for supercharger, $4/lb for nitrous.
10. What's NOS?

me = unknown_host but cz28 never sent my email address a confimation for my unknown_host account here...
1. Why can you only use nitrous at WOT?
2. Do NOS stickers increase horsepower, torque, or both?
3. Can you use nitrous safely with a turbo or supercharger?
4. Why do you use colder spark plugs when running nitrous?
5. When using nitrous why do flames come out of the tail pipes like in the movies?
theres a few , and a few F&F ones
LPEdave, do u have more info on question number 6?
6. Explain how jet sizes relate to horsepower
a webpage could be helpful thanks!

1)What does N2O stand for molecularly(sp?)?
2)List another use for nitrous oxide. Getting high will not count
3)Nitrous oxide is 1 part oxygen and 2 parts nitrogen. T or F
Do a Google search on nitrous oxide and youll find alot of good info to draw from.

1) Draw the lewis-dot structure for nitrous.
2) What is the heat of vapourization of liquid nitrous? how does this help an engine?
3) How does N2O's heat of vapourization compare to that of liquid Propane? what does this imply about propane?
4) What was the first anestetic ever used in surgury (hint: Pneumatic Medical Institution in Bristol)?
5) Is Nitrous a flamable gas? why not?
6) What safety items are used in a nitrous system to ensure proper operation?
7) Can nitrous be legally used on public roads?
8) Can nitrous be legally used anywhere?
9) Would you let me purge in your face?
why not?
(get your minds out of the gutter... I was referencing the odor-doping of non-medical grade N2O supplies
)
