Question Is N20 worth it????

Is N20 worth it. I have a pretty much stock expect for the things listed in my sig. I really dont go to the track, just everyday driving with some stoplight to stoplight 'racing' . Would getting a N20 kit be worth it. Thanks.

Don't get to carried away,a stock lt-1 will take a 100-125 shot easily.

I'd say your going to have some traction issues if you use it from stoplight to stoplight

15.60 @ 87 MPH on Motor
12.80 @ 107.5 MPH on a fat 150 shot.

Seems like a "boring to fun" transition right? Everyone said "oooh no a 150 shot will never work on a stock bottom end 305, etc, etc..." Don't listen to those without experience is all I can say

All thanks to a $600 complete bells n' whistles used Nitrous Express Kit that's I'm the third owner of now. 550lbs later...I'm just getting started Goodluck!

It's definitely worth it. It's cheap compared to other power adders, and I have seen huge reductions in ET. Even while your in th street (if you dont get caught ), it fun.

I don't think it's much use on the street due to traction issues.

On a good set of tires and a decent street, a 150shot is good from 45 on. If youre only doing a 75shot, maybe 30 on up.

On a 100% stock lt1 and a 50shot and 800psi of bottle pressure (measured at the motor, so like a 35-40shot) I ran with FastWhiteTA (cc305, LT headers, catback, 1.6rr's, cai) from 50-115, and only got pulled maybe half a car. 100% BONE Stock with a 125shot, I pulled 4 cars (and he had the jump) from 70-125 on a 2003 Corvette. I have headers/catback/cai now along with the 125shot, and I'll prolly pull 5 cars or so now on a new corvette.

I spent $700 on the nitrous/msd ignition/gauges, and $700 on used slp headers, hooker catback, and a k&n cai. I'd say get the nitrous first, then save $700 more to get that extra edge and sound.

So it sounds as if some people think that it would be a good idea and some don't. If I got it I would have it incase I needed it. It would just be nice to know its there.

Keep the opinions coming.....right now I am leaning towards the juice!!!

1. You aren't gonna blow your motor.
2. You will be in the 400+rwhp club.
3. Torque, torque, torque

It would take a cai, BIG cam, nice heads, headers, catback, and little things here, and $4000 to make that kind of power, not to mention, you're gonna lose driveability.

The thing to remember is not to get wild on it and use it on everything that wants to race. I've have Nitrous on my car for 80,000 miles and its still working great.. 113,576 miles on the LS1..
