N20 (wet) fuel source from stock 4AN fitting

I have been using the stock 4AN fitting on the back of the LT1 fuel rail for the past year or so for my N20 kit (wet kit). It seems to have worked like a champ - until one day, I had discovered that the solder joint on the AN fitting on the fuel rail started leaking a bit of fuel - just enough to coat the stock tubing in a film of fuel.... dangerous. I have not even used/touched the N20 in any way shape or form for the past 6 months or so - with the exception of removing the bottle from the trunk. So I am guessing the solder joint became weak due to the vibrations from the motor etc.

I simply had a T-connector attached to the stock 4AN fitting and a line running to the fuel pressure guage sender on one side of the T and a line running to the fuel pressure safety switch/fuel noid combo on the other side. There was no excessive weight being placed on the stock fuel rail 4AN fitting.

Is this a common problem? I have seen many people use this fitting for their N20 fuel source and never heard of it being a problem. Was this just bad luck?

I replaced the fuel rail so the fitting is now 100% sealed / doesnt leak. I have yet to hook up the N20 fuel lines again for fear of not being so lucky next time (Im not hot on the idea of a fuel leak underhood). But looking at the stock 4AN fitting - it looks pretty weak.

Anyone have any suggestions? I dont really like the idea of tapping a new fitting into the Aluminum rail - but I dont really see any other way to resolve the problem

I had and have seen others have the same problem. I actually cracked mine taking the nitrous hose off. You have to be very careful and not over-tighten the nitrous line. I would also not recommend hanging anything off of that line, run a short -4 and use a bracket to support any t's...
