im picking up a used nos wet kit this weekend. anything imparticular i should look for to make sure everything is functioning right and can someone email me a basic install guide or maybe a few tips

Check their website...most manufacturers have install guides on there. Basically, unless it's still installed, all you can really do is verify the appearance of everything. Plan to rebuild the solenoids (should be kits available) and closely inspect all the wiring/hoses. If the kit appears to be complete and in good shape, it should be fine...there's really not a lot to them. Most of the replacement/rebuild parts are pretty cheap. You could activate the solenoids by putting them directly across 12v, but that will do nothing for verifying they don't leak...but again, you should probably plan to rebuild them anyways.
