ok...seems kinda frequent in here but im looking for a clear way to connect all the wires on it and where they go on my n20 system
i have the mallory wired to my msd dual connector harness...which has red and white wires on one end which plug to the coil then the other end has orange and black so ill only have one connector on my coil???
yellow wire to the arming switch will pull timing only when i activate it???
the red/black connector goes to constant power and ground???
how do the rest of the wires go...
yellow (arming switch)
purple (not used)???
orange (not used)???
small black (not used)???
small green (not used)???
finally the 3 prong connector that looks like a MAF connector i dont need correct???
so this should be correct?????????
POWER/GROUND>ARM SWITCH>WOT>NOIDS>GROUND
POWER/GROUND>ARM SWITCH>YELLOW MALLORY
thanks

Re: Mallory users
this is what yours says...
Relay 1 (arming relay) Run a ground through the fuel pressure safety switch
to the ground side of the (85) arming relay. Positive side (86) goes through
your arming switch - I took positive from the defroster activation button.
30 goes to ground, 87 goes to 30 and 86 on relay 2.
Relay 2 (WOT relay). Take the output from 87 on relay 1 to 86 and 30 on
relay 2. Your WOT switch should be + (should use ATPSS if possible) and take
that to 85. 30 goes to 12V + batt and 87 goes to 85 on relay 3.
Relay 3 (Windows switch relay). Take output from Relay 2 on 87 to 85 on
relay 3. 86 goes to grounded output from Mallory purple (window switch). 30
goes to 12V Batt +. 87 goes to nitrous solenoid + AND yellow (timing retard
input) on Mallory box.
ive got 2 questions
on relay 2...you first say that 87 relay-1 should go to 86&30 relay-2
then later in the paragraph you say 30 goes to +12, so which is it?

Re: Mallory users
I hooked up the timing retard to the power line to the nitrous soilinoid that way it wont pull timing when its armed but not spraying, for example on the launch, that way I have full power there. For the window switch wire I wired the ground for the WOT switch into that. And for the rest of the wires I used the MSD connector for the coil.

Re: Mallory users
I have a set of relays already make up and color coded for the Mallory 685 complete with schematics if you're interested. You'd be able to run the 2 step, retard, and window switch functions too.Along with firing the nitrous of course. Plug and play unit, neat little setup for the guy who ain't too good when it comes to wiring. PM me if interested.
