Question Mail order tuning for N2O?

Im about to jump on the N20 bandwagon and was wondering how close a mail order tune could come.

I have a dyno coming in early July but i wanted to be able to safely spray at the track before i go to the dyno.

how many of you just did a mail order tune and everything worked fine?

Thanks!

program the computer for the best n/a,then spray it.i went 11.022@124 with a basically stock program (only changed fans/shift points/tires/gears).

car ran 12.36@109 n/a,bolt on lt1.

With the nitrous kit,you can tune it by fuel pressure, jets, and pulling timing.

Getting the computer mail order tuned for nitrous will KILL n/a running.

So no tune then? I always thought that you were supposed to retard the timing a little...

So if i just change the plugs to NGK Tr-6's and spray ill be fine? Seems too easy

Yeah, too easy

The point is that 99% of the time, you're not spraying the motor. Your PCM can only have one tune, so the normal way people do it is to have the PCM tuned for NA (99%) setup. Then you tune for nitrous by adjusting jets, adding retard boxes, etc. But your PCM essentially doesn't have anything to do with that.

Dunno if that clarified it...
