Ls1 Kit 5177
Ls1 Kit 5177
Who has it? Who likes it? I am lookin to buy this kit from Lmperformance and it says "yet delivers an honest 125 horsepower". Is that upgradable? Just wanna hear some input.
I ran that kit for a year. I still have it hooked up, but haven't used it since the supercharger was put on.
Many people like the wet kits, but I'm a big fan of dry on the LS1. Once installed, it's painless and requires very little maintenance. It makes good power, and it works everytime you hit it (assuming your bottle isn't empty).
I think 125 is about the most you'll ever get out of the 5177, and that probably produces closer to 100 at the wheels. A wet kit will make more power, but at a higher level of complexity and risks.

Here's a buddy of mine running 150HP on the NOS-5177.
Bryan Loos' 99 SS
By the end of the season spraying 150, he was pulling consistant 10.6's @ 126MPH on a stock bottom end, cam and LS6 intake. 36# injectors on STOCK programming!!
