low buck bottle bracket

I was looking around home depot for a piece of sheet aluminum to use to fab up my own bottle bracket to mount in my rear passenger seat for easy access. Didnt find anything there, so I had to improvise:

I had a computer that I was throwing out, and it turns out that the top part of the box is the exact same width as rear seat cushion bracket (HAHAHA). Drilled some holes into the ghetto bracket, painted it, then bolted it in. Still need to bolt in the backside, but it doesnt look half IMHO.

Re: low buck bottle bracket

btw. if anyone else is considering putting their bottle in this location, there is a pre-exising hole in the floor pan in a convenient location to put your blowdown tube. Just pop the grommet out and drill it to allow the tube to go through.

Re: low buck bottle bracket

Well done.

There is a bracket from Nitrous Outlet/Nitro Dave that mounts on the tunnel, between the seats:

Looks great! Now if you can just get by the tech guys to let you race with it in the back seat! Or is a blow down tube all that is required when it is in the back seat?

Yes, it can be mounted there as long it has a blow off tube exiting the cabin

Re: low buck bottle bracket

i have a blow down tube.... i just didnt take a picture of it. it just so happens that there is a factory grommet that is positioned perfectly for the blow down tube to go down so no drilling required. I made one small slit in the carpet for the tube to pass through.

Re: low buck bottle bracket

There is no rule against having the bottle inside the passenger compartment (which it already is when its in the hatch area) as long as you have a blowdown tube.

Re: low buck bottle bracket

How many inches is that blow down tube? I am mounting my bottle on the hump, but I have no clue if a standard blow down tube will work for me or not.

Re: low buck bottle bracket

You can shorten the blowdown tube, or you can use an -8AN braided SS line, with a bulkhead fitting in the floor.
