I need NOS info..PLEASE HELP!

Okay...

I have an automatic 99 LS-1..

How bad is NOS???How much is too much? What is needed to install a nicely done NOS set-up? If I use nos in my car, will I be paying for it in the future??

I heard a nice 100 shot won't kill the engine and it helps a lot...

From what I've heard I need:

1. Intake, headers, and full exhaust...Just for nice flow...

2. Then I need a NOS and fuel system upgrade to add more air and to add more fuel

and that's it...

Am I wrong?

How much will this cost...

I pretty much know nothing...

PLEASE HELP!!

screw u!damn ls1's are fast enough
j/k...i have an lt1, can u tell?

anyways..
i'd run NO more then 150 shota t anytime...however a 100 to 125 is safe...

get yourself a nx wet kit with genxII upgrade...it includes the heater that you'll need to keep the bottle warm to spray...and a purge so u can bleed the air out of your n20 lines (and it looks cool) and a blow down tube etc...

after that, you'll need to purchase a window switch, either msd (which requires pills that u have to buy to use it) or buy a mallory window switch that doesnt require pills (better IMO) when i first had n20 las year and never installed it and sold it...i had a mallory...but now i have a MSD go figure ...its only b/c it came in the package deal...

next you'll need an ignition...go all out and get a MSD Digital 6 or if u really cant afford it, get a msd6al.. digitakl 6 retials at like 290 i think and 6al at 200

next you'll probably want to get a fuel pump incase u wantt hat 150 shot hehe...get an IN-LINE b/c install is seriously..5 times CHEAPER...60 compared to 300

you'll need NGK spark plugs TR6- gapped one range colder for n20.. costs like 15.00 =)

maybe some gauges in pod...and your set! and any extras u want..a bottle opener etc...it adds up, esp the opener thats like 200 just for that...half of the price for the basic nx kit!!

I'd also reccomd u get a stall convertor and gears BEFORE u do n20...thats my opinon...then your a** with n20 will be in the 11's easy

n20 is the BIGGEST bang for your money...

good luck man

NX is good.Ls1's also seem to respond well with the NOS dry system. Dont really need a remote opener, but if you are lazy.......go for it.

Also the digital 6 and 6al dont interface well with coil packs........so it's the DIS line of MSD's for you.

i will answer that

nitrous is safe as long as you do it the right way. the right fuel to n20 mixture, plus the right fuel pump for more gas to make up for the extra kick. dont spray over a 150 unles you change pistons to a forged style.., you can spray more but dont try it too much , people tend to get a little greedy when they see it still hold up they use more and more, but it does long term dammage

n2o = nitrous oxide. n2o is the chemical make up.

thats prolly a better way of using acronyms, instead of NOS

hope that helps

I would go with a dry kit for now untill you have more mods done the the motor. The computer will take care of the extra fuel as long as you stay with a 125shot or less.
