How much should i spray?????
seen lots of LS1's spraying 150 shots all day long. seen a couple with dual stage systems, one being 150 on the first and 75 on the second (225hp on stock system)! i would say the 150 won't hurt anything.
You guys are nuts ive got had 3 LS1 motors in the shop blown up with 150 setups, DONE right, with fuel pumps etc. These guys that are running 150+ are overfueling thei car or not or not giving it as much nitrous as they think. How many miles an hour does the car pickup in the 1/4 N/A vs gas?
Reason why the 86-92 mustangs could take it well is because they had lots less compression and mainly, they werent running on hypereutectic pistons. 150 is the absolute highest I would go, and that wouldbe with perfect fuel delivery. THere on up its not a question of detonatin breaking things up, its the pure cylinder pressure that wil blow ringlands out.

TNT supposidly over jets there shots to get more power ie a tnt 100shot will net you more power than brand Xs 100 shot. In actualyality a lot of the companies advertised shots give you more power than advertised. I've seen TnT, NX, and nitrous works dyno sheets and all of them net a bill at wheels(threw a manual) give or take a few on an advertised 100 shot which comes to be more like a 120 shot.
I'll touch base on a couple things here:
The max generally accepted is a 150hp system, and its recommended you upgrade the fuel pump (Injectors are in no way necessary on a wet system). Even at this level you should be financially prepared if something breaks. If you can't afford it to break, I wouldn't use Nitrous at all. I've seen as much as 200hp used on a stock short block, for more then just a couple times (George Debski comes directly to mind).
As far as the NX vs. TNT thing......
I think both systems are high quality and you can't go wrong either way. You should make an informed decision though and realize that Mathematically a TNT Jet map uses a larger Nitrous jet, and the same or smaller Fuel jet then a comparable Nitrous Express setting. This doesn't take anything away from TNT, just that it doesn't really make more power then an NX system.
For the most part, a Nitrous system is like a computer. Ever heard the saying "$#it in $#!t out"? X amount of Nitrous in the engine will make X amount of hp, given the correct amount of fuel is present. There are issues of atomization etc, but you aren't gonna notice any of that stuff in a simple Sportsman system like you'll normally be dealing with.
Good luck! And keep it civil boys or I'll have to throw the padlock on this one.
