msd window switch(A4?'s)

I was wondering if running a widow switch on an A4 car would slow down the et. if you had it shutting off between shifts? To save tranny life. Thanks Sean

If you lose anything I doubt it would be noticeable. The system is deactivated 100-200 RPM before shifting, then the car must get back in the window and the system will reactivate. Since most normally finish in 3rd, that means the system will not be spraying for a whole 200-400 RPM. It all comes down to how bad you want that extra .05 and how soon you're willing to rebuild your tranny.

I can't give you a number but it does go faster spraying thru the shifts. I don't know if it's worth it b/c I am rebuilding my 4l60e again but I have tried it and p/u et in the 1/8th so I am sure it helps and if the trans is built right it should hold it.

Sean, well you stole his car and now his sig. Are you going to take the pics from him as well?

Joe, so the 91's name is Ruby is it. I have a feeling she will be surpassing me in no time and catching up with the 95 in the future!!

Yeah, good 'ole Ruby!! I'm going to get the appearance of her straightened out right off the bat. I figure it will be a while before I sink any money into the engine (definately going with something bigger, if I had it to do over again I would've found a 350 in the beginning!!! Lousy 305!) I've been thinking maybe something along the lines of a ZZ4 crate motor or similar, just an idea, we'll see when the time comes............if I still own the car lol!

And Sean can "steal" my pics too if he wants, all they're good for to me is making me cry I've got some decent pics of the nine-five with the WS6's on her, I'll have to give 'em to him to scan. Later.

Joe.

You will definitely lose ET by not spraying through the shifts. I gained 3 tenths and 3 mph spraying 100% through the run with no other changes.

I went from 1.8lbs per run to 2.2lbs per run. I have a TH400 with manual valve body. I would NOT advise it with the 4L60E.

I run a window switch and just got my car back with a really stout rebuild and converter. I havent sprayed it yet, but I will tell you how it goes! I have it come in at 2500 and run out to 6000. Now, that was before the converter, 2800 stall, so I don't know if I have to adjust it or what. Actually, does anyone know if I should adjust it?

At WOT, you'll probably be stalling around 3K. You can leave the window switch set where it is, the stall will only help to constantly keep you above the 2500.
