How much should I retard timing?

I have boltons and a MadZ28 PCM tune. I'm installing an MSD Digital 6 and Digital Window Switch today. How much should I retard timing on a 100 shot? 150?

Thanks

Re: How much should I retard timing?

Many may say that you only need to retard the timing 2 degrees over the 100 shot. i have been searching this question as well. I have a MadZ28 NA tune, so i will probably retard the timing about 4 degrees for the 150 shot...then i may play around with it from there. I would rather be safe then sorry. For the 100 shot, I will probably do 2 degrees of retard. I will also be using the colder plugs that were recomended, and the other safety items...and some 110 octane mixed in.

NOS suggests 2 degrees per 50 hp of n2o. better safe than sorry on a daily driver, IMO.

Re: How much should I retard timing?

I run five degrees of retard on a 125 shot just to be on the safe side. I've ran less than that with no audible detonation, but it's not worth it to me to run it as close as possible to destruction.
