How to active n2o in second

Anybody have any good ideas on how to active n2o when I hit second gear WITHOUT spending like 200 dollars? I was thinking maybe some kind of swith that gets tripped by the shifter shaft.

Just use a trigger in your hand either on a cord or on the shifter like I and many others do.

Here's mine

Yup, and walking and chewing gum at the same time too

Whats so suprising about that? If you mean holding the button through the shifts, then no I release between shifts.

what if you could mount someting under the pedal so that every time you hit WOT the nitrous would start and you could have a seperate switch to activate it so you don't spray all the time
or you could set up a piece of bent flexible metal to put in the shifter so that when 2nd hits it just completes the circut

Just a suggestion for you. I had my button on the shifter and couldn't shift nearly as well. Bad coordination most likely Moved it over so that I can hang the button on the lever that you use to adjust the column and when it comes time to spray I can hold it with my left hand. I dropped a couple tenths by moving it to where I wasn't struggling with it.

As far as the nearly $200 for the setup I've been working on, I've been digging hard, cutting out middle men, and changing the desing a little to shave the cost. I have gotten it down to $167.95. figure about 5 for shipping and no tax if u dont live in IN. I could try and shave another 5 - 7 off but that would take another month and a half to find a way to cut it. Plus your looking at 100 rpm adjustments, not 200, and no pill kits you have to buy, u can turn the lockout off/on, and run second stages with it. I've delt with shifter postion sensors(mechanical and optical) and have had nothin but problems and headaches so thats why I built my setup and put it on my vette. No troubles since and figured others would like it too.
