Is this a good N20 kit?

I have a chance to buy a brand new unused boxed Nitrous kit.

I am in the UK and the kit is here so no shipping ($80) or import duty to pay ($150)

It is a Nytrex EFI 8 cyl wet kit part no: 10012 cost in USA $647

So if I shipped it to the uk it would be cost $880 (£480)

I have a chance to buy it for $546 (£300) a bargain!

Anyone used this kit or have any advice as I am new to nitrous

Re: Is this a good N20 kit?

I can see it has no WOT switch, but I can buy that for £11 ($20)

I was planning on using an MSD window switch because I already have an MSD 6AL ignition box. On at 3000rpm & off at 5600rpm I don't want to spray thru the shifts to make my A4 last a bit longer.

I was going to use a fuel pressure safety swicth.

Oh ye NGK TR6 plugs

I am thinking of getting an Email tune for my PCM to retard the ignition for the Nitrious at WOT as well. I have the cable, I was thinking of PCM4less tuning or maybe tunercat?

Anyone have any imput on the Nytrex kit?

I cannot comment one way or another on the kit as I have never seen one. If your in the UK I would choose the Dynotune Nitrous kit. It also comes with a European "PI" bottle not an american "DOT" bottle. Here is the link for the kits and also at the bottom of the page is info on why you may have issues with a "DOT" bottle in the UK and europe.

Good Luck!

Re: Is this a good N20 kit?

Thanks for the reply Dean, Dynotune does look like a good buy and has lots of good feedback on this message board.

I was hoping someone had used the Nytrex kit so I could get some feedback on that, but it appears it's not very well known!

The kit i am being offered is herein the UK from aprivate buyer, taxes have been paid & it's brand new for £300 ($546) Bargin!

it costs $649 in the USA plus shipping and taxes.
so I would save $200 easily.

From the pictures the kit looks to be complete. With the money you would save, and the fact that the kit is brand new, I would be tempted to give it a shot. Just make sure you cover yourself in the safety arena with a FPSS and a Window switch.

Good luck whatever route you go!

Re: Is this a good N20 kit?

Thanks Dean I will give it a go. I just needed someone to look at that kit who knows what should be there for the kit to be complete as I said I am new to nitrous and I would not know!

I have searched this board for info as to what else is needed and FPSS and window switch are on my list of needed parts.

What about retarding the timing at WOT for the nitrous?

I was thinking of some kind of email tuning as I am in the UK and it is not practical for me to send my PCM to the USA for tuning.
