Fuel pressure while spraying....

Just how much should fuel pressure drop, if any at all? I just put a electric fuel pressure gauge on the car to see what its doing while spraying. The only place I could put the sending unit, was the feed line for the fuel solinoid coming off of the test port. Its right next to the solinoid. I really wanted it closer to the fuel rail so I could rule out sudden pressure drop due to the sending unit being so close to the solinoid. When I sprayed it (150), it droped from around 42psi to about 35psi. Im thinkin thats quite a big drop but Im not sure. If so, looks like its time for a new intank pump.

Thanks.

I would say it's definately time to upgrade your pump.
I was seeing similar amounts of pressure drop, on the stock pump. Now I get 0 pressure drop on a 175 shot. My sending unit is mounted in the same place as yours.
