Post Fuel pressure problems???

When I hit the nitrous (NOS#5176 dry kit)I am under the impression that my fuel pressure should be hitting 85psi. My set up is only hitting around 66psi, the other thing is that in order to raise fuel pressure I have to put a bigger jet in the fuel tee. NOS told me that I should be putting a smaller jets in the fuel tee in order to raise the fuel pressure. I run a NOS in-line fuel pump and 42lbs. an hour injectors. In another couple of weeks I will be adding a in-tank pump.

Which branch of the "tee" do you have the jet in? If they are telling you to put a smaller jet into it to raise fuel pressure, that would mean they are attempting control the amount of nitrous slipstream pressure that bleeds off into the engine vacuum port. Less bleedoff means higher pressure on the FPR vacuum port = more fuel pressure. If you have the jet in the branch coming from the blue pressure regulator, the smaller jet is working the opposite way, restricting the amount of flow, and if you have it in the branch to the FPR, it won't do anything.

When I bought the kit, it wasn't adjustable, and there was no jet anywhere in the vacuum line, but the pressure would go up to 90psi.

Ken can you come over and fix my nitrous kit for me.

Fred the fuel jet is in the right place on the bottom of the fuel tee. I am begining to think that the stock in tank fuel pump can't keep up with the motors needs. I am expecting a Walbro 255 in a few days and will probably install it in like a week or two. Hopefully that will solve all my problems. Fred you have any other ideas???

Question

Fred, I think I have the same 5176 kit you had, in that I have my nitrous jet just before the spray nozzle. It is jetted for 125-130 shot, could I get a larger jet to slow the flow of nitrous to create a smaller shot. Would it run rich since the vaccum on the FPR stayed the same, and is this why my system might be considered non-adjustable.
I will keep running the 125-130 shot, but if the kit can be properly lowered to a smaller shot(thus making it adjustable), I would like to know.
