I've used a 300 shot with with TR-6s. Seen quite a few 250 shots and countless 100 and 150 shots.

A 300 shot can work with those plugs. Question is - are your pistons, tranny, and rearend up for it???

actaully my motor would yawn at a 300 shot... my motor was thinking more along the lines of a 400 shot

hehehe thanks

On the LS1tech board a guy was talking about TR-8's for the 200 + shots.

I'de go colder. If you're too lazy to change your plugs for a nitrous run from normally driving then, I guess iwould work. Only one way to tell and thats look at them after you try it out.

tr6's are good to about 200,sure you could go higher, but why risk it?

at least a tr8 is recommended by a few nitrous guys (Steve Johnson,Jon Phillips) for 200-300 shots and they suggested a colder plug for anything bigger.

NA power shouldnt be much of a concern when you plan on going with a big 400 shot,as everything should be biased for nitrous anyway.

I am using plugs with an "11" heat range and don't have problems with fouling, so I think you can go way colder than a TR6 without a problem. There is nothing special about my igntion system. Opti, MSD6, Accel coil, stock wires.

So what was the consensus for running that cold of a plug N/A, is it a bad thing, or not a problem with a good ignition system? Planning on running 250-300 and totally forgot about plugs, dont want to change them out constantly.
