bending blowdown tube / purge kit questions

It looks like the the person who sold me my used nitrous kit got the wrong blowdown tube. It is the 90* turn one used for NOS brand kits, and not the 180* bend one that my Nitrous Works bottle - which has the safety valve facing upwards - uses.

1) Is it possible to bend the aluminum tube without crushing it? Or do I have to spring the 29.99 to get the proper one?

2) Purge question - is a purge kit mandatory or a nice to have feature? What sized purge kit would you get? (wet kit)

Mike.

Re: bending blowdown tube / purge kit questions

You can try bending it with a tubing bender.

Purge is, IMO necessary. You get a harder hit.
