Bending a blow down tube??

Is it possible to bend a blow down tube w/o breaking it? I have 180 degree one from a friend, but i need it more at a 90 to get it through the hole in the passenger wheel well. He told me NAPA has a tube bender or something, anyone have experience?

Yes it's possible. Lots of places have tubing benders in stock including NAPA. Just make sure you get one than can bend 1/2" tube because some only go up to 3/8".

I have bent them small amounts by hand, I wouldn't do a 90 without a tool of some sort. Also you can get just the tube fairly cheap @ $20.

I would use a tubing bender, I tried bending one by hand and lets just say it didn't turn out so well.

Yea i actually explained it backwards, he has a 90 degree, i need to bend it to 180, my bottle is horizontal and the hole is in the floor, so it needs to be straight off the bottle to the floor.

will be much easier to bend a 90* into a 180* than vice versa...as far as new ones they are the same price

Replace the "tube" with an -8AN hose and a bulkhead fitting in the wheel well.

I don't think they would actually stop me from running, but I once asked my track about doing this. They said it had to be avaiable from the manufacturer of the kit. (NX in my case)

Do you think this would fly for a visual inspection with the bottle on the tunnel?

I use an SS hose on a bottle located in the lower hatch well, and never had a problem with tech.

Just heat it up and slowly bend it a little at a time. . And I had my bottle in the spare tire area, and had to use heater hose to get it to run out of the car and moroso didn't say anything to me about it.

That's a lot of money for a blow down tube though.
