Basic N20 questions ...
How high of a shot can a good-conditioned LT1 handle RELIABLY ?
I understand each one would respond differently, but as an average, wouldnt a 150 or 125 shot be ok on a good STOCK LT1 ?
Also, what companies make the best kits? What are the pro's and cons of each companies parts and their "kits"? Would I be better off piecing together my own set up with parts from different companies to be running the best parts or are they all pretty much the same as far as quality is concerned?
Also what "safety" devices should be used to reliably use N20?
Can the stock fuel pump handle a 125-150ish shot? Even if it couldnt isnt there sasfety switches that cut the N20 system off if the pump dies/cant handle the fuel demands?
Also how do you tune the system properly?

if this is for your 95 lt1 i would look into NX single efi, tnt f1 or f2 or a dunotune kit these are the ones that i liked the best when i was looking. I ended up going with the NX kit their customer service and life time warrenty.
i wouldn't piece together because you will spend about the same had you bought a kit. if you like the NX kit give Nitro Dave a call at nitrousoutlet.com and ask about his kit. plus with NX you can do a gen x kit that supplies you with almost everything else you need.
as far a safety look into getting a fuel pressure safety switch (included in the genx2 kit), window switch, N2O filter (cheap insurance) and colder plugs i like NGK tr6 .035 gap.
to tune you will need a dyno with a wideband.
i know i didn't mention the NOS dry kit and someone will probably post up saying that I didn't but i just don't like the dry kits. and one more thing i'd like to mention is that when you use this forum or any other and ask a nitro question there are two people you will usually hear from NXricky and dynotune to me that says alot about the company that they are conserned about what we think and look to make their product better. whens the last time a NOS or ZEX rep posted??
Re: Basic N20 questions ...
Thanks guys ... I just dont want to buy a kit and then be stuck later on down the road if I want to spray more ...
Once I have the money, as im saving now, i plan on doing an all forged, procharger fed intercooled motor, hogged out LE or AI heads, and a custom cam for the blower. I dont want to run too high boost though since i want to make it streetable, and then have the N20 kit as a double poweradder like RSKRAUSE (His car is godly ... I want THAT vehicle)

Re: Basic N20 questions ...
i know the nx kit will do up to a 250 shot. and the tnt f2 i think does 300. you can also look into the NX maf kit that is upgradable to a 2 stage with 250 on each side!!
Re: Basic N20 questions ...
Thanks guys ... I appriciate everything ... I had been saving money to afford a bottom end rebuild and a ATI Procharger ...
Then my T56 ate some synchros so now as soon as I rebuild it, im going to get the n20 system first... Then I get to start saving $$$ again

Re: Basic N20 questions ...
lol yea, I was contemplating that in the back of my head ... Boost+Nitrous=SWEETNESS ...
My friends disagree and say im sick for even considering it though. But then again, they said I was crazy for putting headers on it cause it was fast and loud enough ... I beg to differ ... It can never be too quick lol. Especially on a street car.
I liked having about a 7 car lead on my friends 5.0 up to 100 ... spraying should make it alot nicer though lol
