NX Spray

I just hooked up my kit and I wanted to test it out to make sure everything was up to par. What I did was put in the jets to make a 50 shot, I took the nozzle out of my intake and had it pointed so that it would spray outside. When I reved it up to WOT it started to spray out; but, when I let off it, it seemed like there was still a little gas comming out of the nozzle. I took the nitrous and fuel out of the nozzle to inspect it and when I did there was a bit of fuel that was dripping out of the fuel hose. Not too bad but noticable. There is no fuel leaking out of the solenoid when its not running. Just wondering if that is fine to have a little gas left over after a spray or is something wrong???

Re: NX Spray

It doesn't drip consistently while the car's running, does it???? If it does, then something is wrong.

A little fuel will drip out of the nozzle after you let off, but it should just be what's left in the line after the solenoid closes....

Re: NX Spray

Like Mean SBC said, if it consistently does it, you have a problem. But if it does it just for a second, it is normal. When the solenoid opens, it pressurizes the line up to the jet to bottle pressure (normally somewhere around 1000psi). So even though you let off and the solenoid closes, there is still 1000psi in that line that needs to bleed off back to ambient. Motorcycle kits are more notorious for this because the jets are much smaller and it takes longer to bleed down.
