Anyone on here using a remote opener?

Sure seems like it would make N20 a million times more "useful" for street driving, instead of always getting out of the car, popping the trunk, and opening and closing a stupid valve.

Remote openers do come in handy for those random encounters. They will also let you close the bottle and purge the line for the times you don't want the bottle....

I think just stuffing a 15lb. bottle in the spare tire well was pushing it for me . I don't think a remote bottle opener will fit on top of that.

Re: Anyone on here using a remote opener?

I ran a 10# in the spare tire well for ~3yrs had a remote opener for 2 of those. I liked the fact of being able to open it at will.

I know have my bottle mounted on the tranny tunnell behind my set, and am not running an opener as it is within easy reach.

That HAS to look somewhat intimidating to female passangers/emo kids.

How hard is it to mount the bottle in the spare tire space, a 10lbs-er.

A 10lb bottle will go in there very nicely. Plus, Nitro Dave does sell a bracket that goes in there and mounts the bottle.

This is the spare tire mounting bracket....it gives you a flat mounting surface for the bottle.

Re: Anyone on here using a remote opener?

My buddy had purchased my old paxton Sn2000 and then added a NX kit. His 15lb bottle is where the spare tire goes. He has the remote bottle opener and it is completely consealed (His Z is a thridgen). He could not use the orginal bottle brackets to secure it in the spare tire well, so he used some heavy duty ratchet tie downs. It seems pretty secucre, but I'm gonna have to send the link to Nitro Dave's spare tire bracket, that's sweet!

We've had customers with 15lbers & our bottle opener get them to fit in the spare tire area.

What kind of bottle brackets did they use? If I can play with the angle of the bottle better, I might be able to fit a bottle opener on there. Its such a tight fit already, the speaker has already been removed just to provide clearance for the bottle pressure gauge. What are the dimensions of the bottle opener, I might have enough room in there to snug it in.
