Under $400?? all you got is a nitrous kit.. Those can be had for $250.. i guess we're money racing now huh?

And DA - "Density Altitude". The Texas motorplex is ~600feet above sea level.

oh i know. i had a friend that was gonna sell me his compu car complete for 100 bucks. but nitrous is one thing i didnt wanna skimp on. didnt want to buy used. i thought i did pretty good considering most people on these forums spend 800+ on their new kits.

im not "money racing". but i know what most of the guys on here spend on their cars (EX- you and your ceramic coated headers that were probably 800+) and i know that if i had even half what they spend id be one happy guy. i dont go with the mainstream and buy all of the overpriced namebrand stuff. thats a waste. i usually do buy used stuff and can find good deals. of course, it helps to have friends that own speed shops too.

I have a CAI, 160 t stat,loud mouth cat back, moser 12 bolt 373.
I pick up nothing with the 373 cause the 12 bolt is a lot heavier but any way I go 13.5 on engine at 102.3 and on the TnT 100 shot with manifolds and 79000 cats it go 11.75 ai 118.9. Yes I know the TnT is completely under rating but it is still a rated 100 shot my jet card says so . any ways I cant wait to get headers and off road pipe to wake this car up!

I don't think you are going to find many people to compare yourself to. Most of the guys here don't just "slap a bottle" on a 99% stock car. Heck the day I bought my car I spent a thousand on mods and that didn't include my nitrous kit. And how can you say you have $400 in mods. I count your prostars as mods, and your nitrous kit. If you got them for $400 let me know where and I will be shopping where you do. I don't think I saw if you have an m6 or auto but either way when you throw the 150 jets in you will either need a tranny, a clutch or both pretty quick. Then comes the rearend, so before you pencil yourself into the 11's break out your checkbook. And either way it will hurt

11SEC-

thats very believeable. i hope to be right where you are in a few months. nice times.

it doesnt look like does it. thats what the intent of the thread was however, and im still curious.

And how can you say you have $400 in mods. I count your prostars as mods, and your nitrous kit.

well, im not one of these little kids with a honda that thinks "mods" includes wheels, body kits, neons, stereo, etc. when i think of mods, im thinking of PERFORMANCE mods. i dont think im going to make any significant gains by adding wheels. i got them because i thought they look good. AND, FWIW, i traded my old wheels for them, so i really didnt pay anything.

If you got them for $400 let me know where and I will be shopping where you do.

i got the N2O kit for under 400. like i said, i traded my old wheels for the pro stars.

I don't think I saw if you have an m6 or auto but either way when you throw the 150 jets in you will either need a tranny, a clutch or both pretty quick. Then comes the rearend, so before you pencil yourself into the 11's break out your checkbook. And either way it will hurt

i have an A4. im still paying on my car, so before i did any mods at all, i called the insurance company. basically, if anything breaks, i pay my 300 dollar deduct. and it gets fixed. so far, the tranny nor the rear has shown any signs of giving up the ghost (and i been running the 150s for about a wk now). but to be honest, i hope they DO give in fairly soon. ill pay my 300 bucks and get a new 7.5 but with axles, stronger posi, etc. OR, get either a new 4L60E or 700R4. but until they do break, im not worrying. many people have gotten where i want to go with stock parts. its been done before and its about to be done again.

uh, i dont know what track you run at, but where i go, IHRA requirements for a 6pnt, are 11.5s or faster. im talking high 11s for right now. but if i do decide to go faster, then ill cross that bridge when i get to it. if i dont decide to run for points and just go to the fri. night T&T, i could get away without a cage.

I would like the number to that insurance also. And when you put skinnies on you car I do think it is a mod. They are definitely an upgrade over my stock salad shooters. And NHRA rules are anything sub 12 sec. requires a 6 point cage and 5 point harnesses. I have gotten kicked off of 2 tracks already so I know first hand

It's gotta be an extended warranty of some sort. And even then - if there is any rubber in the wheel wells or other obvious signs that the part was damaged while "racing", the claim would not be covered.

If it's his auto insurance.. I'd bet it's the kind that would tell him.. "We told you what?! hahah.. okay right! and then hangs up. ~ kind of insurance comany. JMO

After reading the posts on this Thread, I have come to the conclusion most people on here are full of $h!t.

110MPH trap on a stock F-body, NO modifications whatsoever??
Hard to belive, but with a perfect launch and perfect traction could probably be done ( granted its an LS1 not an LT1) so I belive this.

13 flat stock = Drag radials make this highly possible, so I also belive this is true.

Warantee Company that pays for broken parts due to Performance upgrades and racing ?? HAHAHAHA You better hope they dont find that Nitrous Kit. And you even called them??? LOL that was even stupider!! You know they probably just commented your warantee information account in their computer so that when the Inspector Surveys broken or damaged parts when you take your car to the shop he will look for aftermarket perf. parts and report this to the adjuster. Then the adjuster reserves the right to void your warantee.

Are you sure your warantee doesnt say
" ACME WARANTEE" at the top ??
