I dont know what 1/4 mile time I run, never took it to the track yet. But I know I killed a viper with my stock LT1 with 175HP dry shot from a NOS #5176 setup.

Soon I will take my car to the track the run it with the new 383 stroker and 250HP wet setup.

I'll have to go with Jason on this one, specially since I'm BJ

Stock heads, cam, bottom end, suspension and I've gone 11.33@118.7 in the 1/4. I added skinnies to the front and with low bottle pressure on just one pass I went a 7.1 in the 1/8 which should be good for about a 11.1, guess we'll find out pretty soon.

On that note though, when the 150 jets do go in, I'll be shooting for 10's

I'll keep ya updated!!

i guess i should have deffined the term "stock" before posting the thread. STOCK being not only stock heads, cam, bottom end; but we're talking no stall, no gear, no headers, no intake, no exhaust, no TB, no MAF, no K&N, no Hypertech, ect. look in my sig and youll see what im talking about.

basically slapping a bottle on a 99% bone stock LT1. hell, im getting ready to put in the 150s and am hoping for low12s/high11s like i am. yea, THEN ive STILL got all the bolt-ons plus stall/gear etc to do.

thaks very much for the replies guys, really. now i can kind of get an idea of where ill be once i do the stall/gear deal. BUT lets see if anybody has a closer to stock time for their LT1 w/ 100shot.

COMNBYU, i'm understanding the stock thing cause that's how i'm running...however i don't have nitrous yet. I've been thinking about buying it though since i'm in college and don't have enough money to build a stroker!
i'll try to get a set up in in the spring and we'll compare stock 100-shot times since we seem to be the only people who are interested in doing this truely stock

I went 11.27 at 119 with the compucar bag of nitrous system that was only rated to "100 hp"....i think the big shot is much larger than that.

That's fine. I don't buy that you can live up to your SN and "come by me" if we were racing . I got the run on vid, and the timeslip scanned. Jordon Musser was there and can vouch for me.

The DA when I ran that was -1500~2000ft.

It's definitely 100rwhp .. A general rule of thumb is you'd gain 1mph for every 10rwhp... And don't forget about the torque gain!

Did I mention that 119 was on the rev limiter a long way before the traps? I think 121-122 would've been possible with a taller tire or a 3.73 gear. That why I think its bigger than a 100 shot....it picks my car up nearly 10 mph in the 1/8th! My best 1/8th mile mph is 89.4 on motor, best on spray is 98.8 mph.

oh thats real clever. JFYI, im not trying to be the fastest car on the street, i just thought the name was cool. and if i had half the money that you had in yours, i prolly would come pass you

so, knowing what you do about cars, if i told you i know somone with a LS1 M6 that, with a lid and cut out went a 12.0, would you believe me? or how about a Z06, that with only a CAI and cut out, went a 11.0?

i dont care who was with you, or what you have on vid or scanned, if you ran that time, it was with more than JUST a cut out and CAI.

if it were that easy buddy, everyone would be doing it. i wish it was, but it just ain't.

half the money I have in mine? LOL! I do all my own work - except the machining.. And I buy used parts. save a ton of money that way .. Being that I have $3k in my car... You're saying you could spend $1500 and run 10's? Cool! All it'd take is heads/cam and ~every other external bolt on. Not a hard task at all. My biggest purchase was a 12 bolt for semi worry free launches.

There's a girl here locally that ran a 12.5@112 w/ just a whisper lid, ported TB, and open offroad y-pipe. And she's on RSA's... She's got everone guessing how she manages to pull 1.9 60's w/ her 6 speed w/ those tires.

FWIW, I didn't have just a cutout and cold air... I also was on BFG DR's and had a kirban shifter. And that was it. I don't understand what is so hard to believe about that! Like I stated, the DA was *well* below sea level and this helped out a bunch... ( A buddy of mine had P&P'd LPE LT4 heads and intake as well as a 211/219 cam and only ran a 12.8 that day.. Needless to say, he was peeved @ me . ) Two months later I would've slowed to a 13.2@104 or so. 'Course I installed some hooker single cat style shorty headers along w/ a new clutch and dipped below the 13's running a bunch of 12.8's and 12.9's that year. Put in a 224/236 "CC Extreme" cam, w/ 1/6 RR's and ran a 12.3@114mph.

And I agree.. If it was easy.. Everyone would be doing it. Some people just drive the heck outta their cars. Many a times I've been asked to run a friend's car to see what time I could get out of it.. and often I'd come back with a .3 improved time slip.

wanna guess how much i have in my car? under 400 bucks. and im getting ready to go 11s. so yea, with 1500 more bucks i could definitly go some 10s. with 3000, you dont wanna know. thats great that you do all your own work, so do i, but you still have to buy parts.

now THATS believable.

my mistake. i missed that. i thought you were talking above sea level. just out of curousity, where the hell is there a track below sea level?

agreed. i know first hand what a difference a driver can make.
