Actually, from the research I have done, the LT1 has a stronger bottom end than the LS1. Sure, the lS1 has a 6 bolt main, but it is in an aluminum block vs. the LT1's iron block.

I have had a 175 shot on my car for four years now with not one bad side effect. I now have 166,000 miles on the stock engine, and it still goes low 13's n/a. It's all about how it's used and installed.

What was your bottle pressure and what race gas do you use?

i always strived to run 1000-1050 bottle pressure. everyonce in a while it was between 1050-1100 but i usually purged it down to a steady 1050.

as far as fuel, the car was run on VP C10 or sunuco 104 unleaded. it might of had at most 3-4 gallons of 93 but always got at least 5 gallons of 100-104 unleaded.

I kinda like the vp fuel better, seems slightly more consistent in the way my car ran. but sunoco is sold at the track and i use it in a pinch.

Cool, when I sprayed the 175 shot, I used NX 72N 41or42F, bottle pressure was 850-900, I used 3 gallons of C-14 to a 1/4 tank of 92 pump gas.

I wonder what the car would run with 1050 bottle pressure
