175-200 shot on stock bottom end?
im currently doing the head n cam thing and was wandering if i could go up to a 175-200 shot on the stock bottom end? if need be id get a nitrous blower grind but id like for it to run good on motor too. i have all the other lil stuff like ignition and tr6 plugs and will run race gas...yanno all the safety stuff. im gonna upgrade to a 255 pump and so on. has anyone ever gone this high on a stock bottom end? i mainly need it for one race but i dont want it to be my last lol

I would spray a ls1 to a 200 shot way before an lt1. People have done it. I don't think it will last season after season. If you make 400rwhp with the heads and cam. Then throw another 175hp at it the bottom end is not going to stay in working order too long. If you throw a 175shot onto a stock motor it is another. Everything in the bottom end is not meant for 575 hp.

I just sprayed a 175 shot 72N 42F, bottle pressure under 900 psi though.

i know a guy at the local track was spraying an lt1 with hotcam/stage 1 heads stock shortblock with 175 wet shot and run 11's, but it didnt last long, a few weeks, he ended up doing a rebuild......
