Can you be more of a hypocrate?

Here you are talking about how it sounds like 3rd grade all over again, while name calling like a little kid.

First off you are being ignorant if you think dues goes into peoples pockets. There were many posts describing what this money would go towards. You obviously didn't bother to read them.

You obviously don't see it from the perspective that the same 3 or 4 people are sick and tired of fronting money for everyone else all the time.

When it comes to people paying for stuff in advance, everyone is all talk. Charging dues is more like a pre payment for club meetings, bbq's, to pay for some of the administrative costs of running the club, printing out flyers to help advertise for the club, to prepay for trophies for racing events, etc.....

We were going to have to ask for the money from everyone anyway, so instead of collecting money for every single event/expense from every single person, we just asked for it all up front for 6 months. I didn't see anyone volunteer to collect money from individuals for every single event or expense, and what a pain in the *** that would be collecting money 2-3 times a month from over a hundred people. Would you volunteer to do it? Doubt it.

For those that say donations are enough for flyers, etc...? More BS. People talk about donating, and most of the times it falls through. It also ends up being the same few people that pay for everyone else, which gets old.

There was a ton of immature BS going on in our message forums. People that didn't give a **** about the club didn't care what they posted on the boards, how much drama they created, or how it made us look. That basically made anyone who was older/ more mature feel outcasted and that they didn't belong. Dues payments eliminated those that didn't give a rats *** about the direction of the club, and liked to cause drama/create problems. The club has once again become a place for people of all ages to join, not just those in their teens/twenties.

This post is a prime example of what a lot of us don't want to see on the message boards, drama, trash talking, etc. The members of the club had all the opportunity in the world to speak up at meetings, and elect people as board members. We'll guess what?? Most of those bitching never showed up to a meeting or never voted for a board member.

The club members voted for the board members, the board members make suggestions to be voted on, and then the club members vote on those suggestions. Its pretty much the same people from day one who have been coming to club meetings, and those are the people who get to help chose how to shape the club. 9 out of 10 times those that complain about the way the club is being run are those that never showed up to a meeting or never spoke up.

Um, yeah, a fraternity can cost thousands of dollars a year. We charge a measily $3.33 a month, or the cost of one beer a month at a bar.

Nice example....apples to oranges.

alright, first of all, I met at least some of the people in the club & they seem like *****s because leaving speedworld one night a guy who was chillin with them came flying past trowing up rock & broke my buddie's headlights & put all sorts of rock chips in my car, and the people who responded on here denied ever seeing the guy, let alone talking to him that night.

Secondly, Yes, it is just like being is a fraternaty. It's BUYING YOUR FRIENDS. whoopty doo, you spent X dollars to be in a club, good for you.

You shouldn't have to pay money to chill with people you share an interest with. that's BULL, & that's what a frat is.

People spend enough money on parts & stuff, why should they have to pay more to talk to other people about them.

& if you people want to do that then fine, I could care less about "losing 50 friends", shows what kind of people they are if they'll only talk to you if you pay money to...

Just my opinion,

Steve <--- Doesn't have to buy friends

im kinda surprised this thread is still going on. i mean.. ok its been 2 weeks since AZFBA went private, and its not liek it happened overnight. everyone was told when this would happen. if u didnt want to pay then u didnt post. if u did, then u can post. does it mean u cant hang out with them... no. it just means that when it comes to certain events, or if u need a discount on an item and there is a sponcer that gives a discount to that item, u cant use that. now to me, yea.. $20 to post seems kinda stupid, but it also seems fair. since i am always gettign work done at azautomasters, i will b able to use their discount and save some money, BTW is more then $20. if this club did this back when it was PCCP, i would have saved a few $1000. so is saving a few $1000 worth $20. in my book. yes. unfortunatly i havent gotten verbs or andy the $20 yet (some family issues had coem up since x-mas and i havent had a chance to mail/meet with them to give then the $). Mike actually called me to see y when i guess verbs or someone gave him the list of who is give the thumbs up for a discount and my name wasnt on their. ok.. well i think im just rambling now.. so ill leave it at that.. what ever that is...

Chris I gave him the member list, the first thing he said was that I left your name off the list. I then explained that I haven't seen you on the board for a while or around town so I wasn't sure what happened to you. Mike said he would call you and see what was going on...a little peer pressure to join the club I guess

It's funny how people think $20 is just to post on a board...it isn't people! Get your facts straight please

aww.. so thats when when i called him sunday he said he will "talk 2 me about something" god.. scared the hell out of me... kinda like when ur parents would say "we need to talk" and you would back-track the past few days/weeks thinking of ANYTHING u could have done and/or said. but when i went to go see him yesterday thats what he was wondering. but i told him what had happened and not to worry lol. so i guess i have you to thank for scaring the hell out of me LOL.

Im going to hopefuly be at that import/domestic thing this saturday at speedworld. unfortunatly not racing since i havent had time to get the car to mike to fix my fuel issue/traction problem. the reason i havent been posting/seen lately is cause i had to go back to PA for a week cause my grandpa keeps having heart attacks and sicne hes in his late 70's were werent sure if he was goign to make it or not. fortunatly he did make it and is doing ok. *he has had like 2-3 triple-bipasses in the recent past* but yesterday my mom calls and said he had another 1. so I may have to fly back again. Im either going to mail verbs the $20 or just give it to andy this saturday... im not sure yet... ill prob just give it to andy that night since im going to be there and he has some videos for me from the last tiem at speedworld. i hate not being able to not post on AZFBA cause there are so many "comments" i need to make.. specially the post about AZAUTOMASTERS just now being able to burn chips .. but ill save that for when i am on the board.

that happened like over a year ago at the speedworld meet before the club even existed. so how do you know they are even still around?

weird?

I remember that nite...I was behind everyone. I know the car you are referring to but don't know the dude who drove it. He's not even in our club! So now we are all asses because of some guy who has never associated with our club even once? That's the most rediculous thing I've heard in a while. Thats nice you associate him with the club just because he came to an event I threw over a year ago that had nothing to do with the club.

Have you ever even been in a fraternity? Doesn't sound like it by the statement you just made.

Many of us are in the club for reasons other than "making frineds" I already have a ton of friends and didn't join to make many more. Thats not why I'm in the club. You act as if the club is just to meet friends, and its not. You also pay to get sponsor discounts, and in the future, each member will probably get webhosting for free.

Why don't you bitch at every professional organziation. I have to pay dues to remain a licensed CPA, to be in an Alumni Association, to have my car registered to drive, etc. You act like we are the only entity out there that charges fees.

Wrong dude, I shouldn't have keep fronting money for everyone in the club for every event or expense, and have to go through the hassle of collecting it from 100 people every time. Where the hell is money for events/expenses going to come from, a tree? Why is it fair the same 3 or 4 people over and over again have to front their money to pay for other club members, and sometimes not get paid back for over a month? Would you like to collect money a couple times a month from over a 100 people? You are thinking very selfishly, me me me. Why don't you consider where the money comes from for events and such, trophies for our last track event, the cost to reserve a room at the library (60 a pop), etc... and ask is it fair for the same people to keep paying for stuff out of their pockets. Lastly, in a group this big, there are always the cheap asses who don't pay for their share of events/expenses when the time comes. So now we don't have to worry about that. Every time I front money for the club I lose money because there are always a few who skip out and don't pay their share. Thats really fair to me

Once again, the retarded stereotype that all you get from dues is the ability to use the message board to talk. More BS. You obviously think thats what all the money goes towards If you buy a set of tires in the next year, the discount alone from discount direct that you'll get on install, balancing (which is free for members) and all 4 tires will be over $100. The money also goes towards the administrative costs of running the site, since myself and one or two other individuals are sick of fronting and laying down money for everyone else. The money also goes towards advertising for the club, and to prepay for events so MYSELF AND OTHERS DON'T HAVE TO!

Verbs <--- Doesn't have to buy friends either , but chooses to pay dues to a club once every 6 months to help reimburse those who have fronted money to the club, keep it running by paying for costs/expenses, and to help advertise.

Eventually the goal is to not have dues at all, which we will try to implement down the road.
