Dave

I am sure Jason will be quite interested in the AZMCA also. You may as well count him in. I herad that AZFBA is going private tomorrow??? I thought it was funny I went to the AZ mustang site and you have to meet so many members and go to so many events and what not before you were allowed to post on there board and that you had to be recommended by so many members to be iniated. I thought that was pretty stupid and typical of "The Mustang Crowd" now the Camaro guys are joining there ranks with the dues and private boards and everything. I think the AZMCA would be a refreshing change to just get people together with all kinds of different cars to just hang out, B.S., and have a good time.

well tyhe intention of the AZFBA was that, then it took a turn for what it is now. which isn't a BAD thing. but, It's not for people that don't have the money to take advantage of most of the stuff from the sponsors. I was all about a stall converter package that was CHEAP as hell, but noone else has th emoney or the time to do such a thing. So, I'm *** out.

nitrous, Verbin has awesome prices, but tax and credit card fee takes the advantage of picking it up.

So, it's all perspective I guess. If they jkeep the Gp section open to everyone that woul dbe good for the sponsors. I would think.

but, that's just me.

So basically as it sounds your dues are only to get in on the sponsors group purchase discounts and to use "their" Message Board?? I think I will keep "My Dues" and keep posting on CZ28.

I'm sure the occasional BBQ being paid for is nice.

the benefits don't outweigh the dues amount if your broke or have to save up 6 months to get anything. I saved a few weeks to get the Stall package which noone else was going to do, so I have to wait to get 3 cars plus myself into 1st performance to get this deal. Which well. sucks cause, 90% of the AZFBA are broke *** bitches much like myself. So, the discounts are nice if you can afford to mod your car often.

That's what everyone thinks. There's more to it than that. The spoonsor discounts and GP's is just ONE of the benefits.

Don't listen to Dave.. he's confused himself as well.

Put it this way.. the $20 / 6 month is only $3.33 a month. The club spends money on things

Nothing is free in this world.

Edit - To my personal opinion - going private was a good idea, it keeps the "drama" from people who don't intend in joining from causing drama on the board.

What do you mean nothings free?! You mean the government doesn't just give us our webspace for free, our bulletin board for free, our server space for free, our electricity to run the servers for free, our business bank account for free, our business name for free, our flyers for free, our business cards for free, our film that we use on picture day for free!! You got to be kidding me, that's it I am moving to Taiwan!! I can't afford $3.33 a month, that cuts into my crack habit!! Can't we just have no dues so I can rely on somebody else paying for everything and I can reap all the benefits? [ ]on [x]off Sarcasm

If you’re using a camera with film in it, then don't. I saw about 3 Digital Cameras that don't use film, so once you buy the Camera the cost is gone, should we pay for their personal cameras? They volunteered to take pictures, just like you volunteered to sit on your *** and Admin the Message boards for hours on end, should we pay for your time? NO, you volunteered, that's what it means to do that.

Electricity? Those servers are up anyway it doesn't Cost MORE to put a website on it, so don't give me that bullsh*t. He is running a business on that server. If it affected his business he would take it down, it's that simple.

web space, depending on what you’re getting. Based on what I saw. We are using up about 50 megs of webspace. I'll donate a 50 meg harddrive to the Club for it.

I understand what your doing. But it's not worth it for me. You don't need business cards, you don't need flyers. It’s a ****ing car club not a business. That’s where you are all losing your vision.

Trying to make this some huge business out of a car club. Well that goes against what my idea of a car club is about. You want to see a GREAT car club that doesn't want to be a business.

Las Vegas Fbody. They have a couple of sponsors to pay the webspace/bandwidth issues. They don't charge their members ANYTHING.

They even run an annual event! with no dues, no bull****. They are 200+ strong with out breaking a sweat. You should have seen the cars at the in and out when I went to LV invasion it was AWESOME.

The reason we want an AZFBA, was because there are so many Camaros and TA's that we needed to get them all together. I hope someday, we will not have to pay dues. I can see us loosing a lot of people but we should beable to pick up some more people later. LVFBA doesnt pay Dues? I really wish we could have just paid as we go but then again this is for the hard cord F body people.
