don't fall victim to CA scams
Heres 2 scams I fell into that screwed the next couple years of my life. One some guy sold me some bogus college program for $2,000 two some person in the downtown mall sold me a labtop for $4,500. I should have read the contracts better now i owe 6,500. That really sucks becuase being in the military thats more then half my paycheck :-(. So i guess i will have to wait a couple years before I can buy a camaro.

Documentation is the key.
if you keep the records, and can show it was a SCAM, and it's on your credit, no one really gives a hill of beans.
it's kind of like having a Cell Phone collection on your credit, everybody knows cell phones overcharge, won't fix thier bills, and are pretty much a rip off, so most finance places don't worry about them.
i'd go talk to base legal, and tell your chain of command what's up.
base legal is totally useless (like yelling in a toilet) but, you have to keep a record of that, to show your chain of command that you TRIED to take care of it.
your command should have a black list and some influence.
i had a car repo'd on shore duty, went to my chief told him the WHOLE story,
guess who called? the car salesmen. my chief ripped him a new a$$ and threatened to have Navy Legal up there that afternoon if he ever bothered me again.
the military don't care about that crap, 3 things i told my kids:
-on time
-in clean/correct uniform
-ready to work/do what you are told.
if you do have bad credit for 7 years, it will help eliminate alot of credit card debt that you would have racked up buying junk anyways. ask me how i now!
don't worry about it.
