Look bonehead, we are talking about one car. If your car runs 12.44@115 consistantly. You then do some aero mods to the SAME car and it consistantly runs 2 mph faster, but has the same driver, same tires, same gears, you are gonna et faster.

allright hink, look what you started now. so, you started it, now you settle it. next time at the track, make a pass w/it on. then unbolt it and make another pass, leaving everything else the same. Im still betting, in this case, there will be no significant (sp?) improv. in et. and maybe 1-2 mph higher in trap speed. what do you think?

I am sooo confused as to your thinking. Do you think his 60' is going to get worse because he lost the wing? Is it stays the same, but he picks up 2 mph, why would his et stay the same. That makes absolutely no sense.

BTW Hink, It would look like ****.

Timber is right a car that MPHs more than another car doesn't necessarily make it ET faster.

Roadrage is right if I take something off of my car that will make it MPH faster then it darn well better ET quicker too. Unless the pice removed effects traction.

Your both right but you're talking apples and doughnuts.

Lightbulb Well... since I started this...

As previously mentioned by AL, any weight removed SHOULD lower ET, same traction provided of course.

I would predict that removing the wing would do nothing at all as far as aerodynamics goes. Remember the IROC Firebirds? They had to add 2-3 " more material to the wing to even get it to cut into the wind, TRUE STORY.

Bascially ALL street spoilers are show stuff anyway and have little if any affect at air redirection. In the case of the tall T/A wing, I think a big enough hole has been opened in the air to make it as useless as rainbow stripes.

Besides... the ORIGINAL question was: What would a T/A look like without the rear wing? Answer: A Neutered Formula?
