We have to go to Windsor next week for a few days.

We will be there Wednesday morning. My wife has an appointment there at 9am that will take a couple hours, and we can't check into the hotel until 3.

I need to find something to do for those couple of hours by myself, and then we both need to keep occupied at least until check in time.

Then she has eye surgery the next morning, and won't be doing much of anything at all that day, so I am on my own...again...needing something to do.

We will be coming home friday morning

Suggestions on what to do? We know about the bars and casinos, but what else is there? Don't really have much budget to work with, couple hundred bucks for the couple days total, and that would have to include meals/ fuel.

Any help?

Well, I don't think they'd take too kindly to a stranger dropping in I haven't met too many of you guys except in passing...

Remember, I'm a west sider...we seem to be few and far between over here and don't have the tight-knit group you easterners have And just like you folks can't make it this way very often, we don't make it over there much either..so the two sides of the state only get to meet at the MM event it seems.

Im sure they can take you on one of the Polar Bear tours thru downtown igloo city. I think i had Nantuke as my guide last time.

The night life is cool.. but be careful downtown. Lots of violence

 

The last time i was in Windsor,there were so many Police patrolling you could not spit on the sidewalk without getting busted

BTW Timberwolf they have an art gallery downtown and they have the Casino,you don't have to gamble,just give them the contents of your wallet on the way in and save yourself some time

The casino is fun if your loaded. otherwise if you have to go.. only bring like 30-50.00 us dollars to spend, because you will lose it all.

 

My wife actually enjoys the casinos, and usually plays smart. She like ths slot machines and doesn't play to get rich. She can sit and play nickel slots on $20 for hours. I just can't see the fascination. I'll roll through $20 in a half hour on the quarter slots and be ready to go.
She dragged me onto a casino cruise thing in Florida once. It was like a 6 hour trip out into the ocean and back. We were done playing in about 2 hours, tops, including the meal. Was never so bored in my life after that. And of course it was at night, so you really couldn't even sit out on the deck and check out the water life....

uhmm yeah canada? well being that its winter canada is about worthless(heheheh j/k) we usually like to see how far our american money will take us in the bars. being that im under age in the states everytime i go there its usually a drunk fest with my buddies..WATCH OUT FOR THE O.P.P. they are some mean *** cops

 

That's exactly the reason I don't go downtown. Lots of violence? I'm too old for that crap. Don't take this the wrong way guys but 90% of the people down there are 19-20 old American kids looking for a fight.

There is a movie theater downtown so you could catch a flick but other than that and the Casino there is really little to do other than visit bars or restaurants.

i know alot of my friends and i go there because we do not want to get in trouble for underage drinking. its close its convienet. i dont know of any of my friends that go there looking for fights????
