Larry (Rippers_Evil_Twin) and I went down to APE today for Larry to get an alluminum driveshaft and dyno tune his car. Well, we ran into some problems. We broke the driveshaft right in half on the dyno. Doh! But I got it on video along with the cars at APE. George, got your ZO6 on here and I got Nick's peice of crap too.

The Guy's at APE were great. In all fairness I installed the shaft. It looked fine to me. I would like to think that with the Cam I installed(APE's secret grind) that the shaft couldn't handle all the horse power and torque.
Its more likely that a bolt failed on the U-joint strap on the back yoke.

343hp to the rear wheels....and thats without Kirk performing any of his tuning magic...

Kirk ordered me a custom built shaft that will be indestructable...

I'll be getting it next week with a tune. Final numbers to follow.

I would have buddy but Larry needed to get back home and I was already 2 hours late for work. LoL.

 

Of course I have heads silly, the car would not run without them...
They are the stock heads. I did put different springs and retainers and rods in them to match them up to the new cam. I'll be glad to share any data also.

 

We'll both be down for the dyno day at APE. You all should show for that. We are going to dyno a skateboard then Eric's car and see which has more HP to the rear wheels.

And by the way. Dyno day is April 12th about 4:00pm at APE. Should be a lot of fun. Motown Muscle will be there and were gonna BBQ and dyno cars. What more could you ask for?
