It depends.
If the car is on a trailer you could leave it in park, but if it is on a tow dolly with the rear wheels on the ground you would want it in neutral. I have also heard that you should remove the driveshaft, but I'm not sure why since the tranny is full of fluid it would be getting lubricated.

You pull the driveshaft on a auto trans because the motor is not running some the pumps in the trans are not working. With a trailer you can leave the car in parks as long as it is tied down and can't move. If there is to much play in th tie downs it will brake the park pin. Hope this helps Jeff.
If the car is on a dolly couldn't you just put the rear tires on the dolly? That way the driveshaft and everything could stay in tact. All you'd have to do is make sure the steering wheel is locked so the tires don't turn. That's the way I'd always figure it anyway.
