thanks to the Deblers for putting on M13 :)
Building boost in a turbo car like that can be a delicate process..
He's basically getting the driver REALLY close to the first beam so he can build a little boost on the footbrake, then maybe he'll lite the first bulb and build as much boost as his footbrakes will hold(ie: he's basically standing on the brake pedal..haha)...when the car pushes into the second stage beam, he'll engage the transbrake and put the throttle to the floor for max boost and minimal time against the transbrake....less time sitting there at full power is less wear and tear on the driveline, etc..
Basically...I could be way off base though..

We race heads up on a pro-tree. If you are not on the pipe when you light the second bulb, you are done. When you are racing against other turbo cars that don't have their program together, by pre-staging 1st you can put a lot of pressure on him and cut down his chances to be ready and that will get you a easy win. I don't care when I go in I am ready regardless.

Thanks for the compliment. Chris's car has run some sick times. We are also running the times we are on stock style heads not Stage 2 heads. We are planning on going with a turbo LSX next year and running drag radial at Milan and where ever else we have time to go. Not sure if you guys came around our camp or not but there was a engine exchange with our engine Builder Dan Strezo who was also there. He was part of Precision Turbo and Engine. Dan was the Engine part of that company. He is building (2) LS engines over the winter and one of them a LS2 based street engine, and the other a LSX that will be a little more radical. Both will be turbo power.
