thanks to the Deblers for putting on M13 :)

thanks again for all of your efforts, i like many others look forward to coming and having fun at this event every year!!!

as well thanks to all of the volunteers! i had my share of little issues, but still knocked out a 9.2 @ 153.9 mph, so not all bad, and i drove it back onto the trailer

i found the track surface, not to be as great as it usually is, oh well. car went 10.6 @ 131.15 first pass out so i was pretty happy with that!

glad to see a fair number of cars roll in to take advantage of great air!

Yeah, it was another great event!

A year of firsts:
First time the Chris Jackson Memorial Award went to a front-wheel-drive vehicle, one of the excellent Grand Prix cars that were there.

Firt time I ever saw 180 MPH flash on the board . (Who WAS that guy, anyway???)

I noticed quite a few new faces there, but also saw that some of the old faces had brought their families. So that was a first: The "original" generation along with the "new" generation. I think next year I will try to bring a couple of my kids, too.

First time (AFAIK) that NOBODY BROKE ANYTHING at an M-event. No fragged differentials, no shattered U-joints, no twisted driveshafts, no blown-up motors. A very safe event.

Man, M14 is going to be cool, with a whole passel of new G8s, Camaros, & probably even more 12-second & faster FWD cars.

Now I am putting the car up for the winter, to get it ready for May, so that I can drive it down to Indy for the Fbody Motorsports Event. (It's open to all cars, BTW)

There was the ProCharged G8 there, but he couldn't hook-up at all. He needed some better tires, and I think he'll have a bad-*** car.

I was a fun time - and it got cold when the sun went out on the stands.... This is my third one I've been to, and I plan on going to a lot more.

It was fun as always, the Baker crew had a couple fast cars, although the turbo gto blew the tires off on every pass. The track was not prepped at all for a big hp small tire vehicle. No way to take advantage of the air 2.3 60ft, 11.6@140 lol. The big tire car did manage a 8.81 though.

Some really cool cars, everyone in the group loves watching taner grab gears.

I thought for sure I saw you running some 13's with that car... We figured that you had fixed the fuel problems. Regardless, It's nice to see you in an Fbody again, Kevin!

Nooo... Constant 14s @ 100.5mph..

I only made 4 passes - the 4th was with the logger to find out how lean it was running. We put a new MAF on the car on Sunday and it's regained probably 40 horsepower according to the old butt-dyno...

We had a good time and nice weather for Oct too.

where are all the pics? especially looking for some of our blue/white 70 camaro vs the 69 camaro same color combo in the Q16. I rolled in a little too far and single bulbed it then red lit by .018 whoops.

Hey Taner, it was nice seeing you guys as always along with meeting and talking to others as well.

I had a great time as usual and it was nice to race my other car. (Blue and white striped 1969 Camaro)

I wished the track would've been a little better as in the previous years but still managed a 10.02 @ 137 with a ton left on the table. Not too bad for the first time out with this car and not knowing what it would do.

Anybody have any pictures or videos they took?

Has next years date been reserved yet as I need to mark it down on my calendar.

Good times!

Tony

We had a great time at the event. I wish we could have stayed longer, but we drove out to the Bullseye Power open house in the afternoon.

Thanks for putting on the event, and thanks for the Chris Jackson award. I was quite surprised when it was delivered to the shop earlier today.

We will certainly be back again next year, hopefully running mid 8s in the FWD Grand Prix.
