Just giving some shakedown passes on the rebuilt trans and new tires. New personal best and my first wheelie happened tonight. Not too shabby, but I gotta take the car to TNT to get the pressure and launches consistent. Pretty amazing that I could blow the 11.5" wide Hoosiers off the back of the car and get sideways a couple times!
Hope you guys did well with the shootout.

Hey Derty, I didn't know that was u in the black WS6 with the Hoosiers. I got some nice pictures of your ride with the smoke rollin off the car. I will upload them to here later on under a different subject.
I had fun though, I didn't race because I brought this girl i met and she didn't have enough cash on her so I had to pay her way in plus my own and didn't have enough to fork over to do the street tire shootout. No biggie, i had a blast watchin and takin pictures.

My car the picture *****! Send any pictures you've got my way. I'd love to see them!
Gotta like my pro stock burnouts lately. If I can't do anything right, at least I can put on a smoke show!

It's all about the 60' times! With those new tires I'm still working on the right tire pressure and launch RPM. Managed to pull off a 12.73 pass, which was pretty good. Managed to pull a wheelie which just soaked me on the launch. So basically the lower the 60's go the better it runs. That's all it is now. As for the car, that was the first night that it made through a track session without breaking in a very long time!!
Hey Steve,
What was your MPH? Inquireing minds want to know?
Did you ever get the QA1 suspension stuff?
Rod pulled a 1.53 60' with the stock torque arm with the QA1 kit on 26-11.50x16 ET streets at 16 lbs. with no squirrely stuff happening

Al,
My max MPH is classified at the moment, but that run was at 113 MPH. My max is higher than that, let's just say it's good enough for a high eleven run. If I get a 1.50 60' she will probably grant me a 11.99 pass that I want! Given that I only got 4 shakedown passes and near 100% humidity, it started to sprinkle midway into the evening. I need a strong night where I can test a bunch of different pressures and launch RPM's. It's extremely sensitive to those two pieces right now. At 15PSI those tires hooked so hard that the front came right up. That was a touch too much so I tried another setting with better luck. Just plain ran out of time and good weather.
I do not have any shocks on the car yet. I'm thinking those may help me out with this a little. Not sure on that, but I'm very open to opinions. At this point I'm not sure which shocks to go with. One of the chassis guys I talk to was praising a setup from AFCO. I'm going to look at those for next spring. I use the Spohn Torque arm with the integrated *** saving safety loop. And yes I've fully tested the loop and it's certified as a 5 star piece of work! Anyway, I'm done spending money on this project for the year. I have a Silverado that needs some attention now
